Sterling Cap Faux Horn Silver Fancy Monogram R W E Maker's Mark Unique 1800's

   Up for sale is a very unusual decorative item. It is a curved faux horn capped with a heavy sterling overlay. The silver end is highlighted by a flat oval end with a beautifully executed monogram, "RWE" in elaborate, fancy script. The sterling ends in a raised, rope like, swirling base with "Sterling" and a maker's hallmark above. The number 123 is also designated. There is a brass button below the silver as shown in several photos. This one of a kind American desk piece makes a distinctive statement. It is a rare and wonderful piece of Americana. Antique Tiffany & Co (1800's) Chatelaine. Sterling Silver, Signed, Maker Marks

   This Tiffany & Co chatelaine is in excellent condition. The clip opens beautifully and it is loaded with maker marks on each side of the "Tiffany & Co" and below the word Makers. One side states 4913 and the other states 8970. Below and further down it states 925-100 and some stamp. Made in the 1800s, this wonderful piece measures 2. 1 long by 1 wide.
