Anglo-indian Sterling Silver Fine Enameled Cigarette Case Birmingham 1919 Mark

   A very fine English cigarette case made by Jones & Compton, with 1919 Birmingham assay mark. It was made for the Indian market, featuring intricately chased all over arabesque vines amidst black enameled ground on both front and back. The inner scrolling border and the outer zigzag border are highlighted in red. Good hinges and strong clasp. 3-1/4" (8.2 cm) x 2-3/8" (6 cm). Best suited for hand-rolled cigarettes.
