Vintage Aksel Holmsen Gilded Sterling Silver 925 Green Enamel Bracelet 7 Long. This bracelet is from my late mother's jewelry box. One bar is removed but it will be included on the spring ring to make a total of 9 bars. It is a vintage bracelet of Norwegian origin, made in sterling silver which has been gilded to give it the golden effect.
The bracelet is comprised of elongated oval bars decorated by green enamel. One bar is stamped "925S" for sterling silver and with the maker's mark of Aksel Holmsen.
The spring ring is marked STERLING. A magnet does not adhere anywhere on this bracelet.
Under close inspection, around and under the green enamel, you can see that the sterling silver bars are ornate. Aksel Holmsen was a silversmith from Norway. After training with a well-known Norwegian firm, he established his own workshop in the early 1900s.
His business is known for producing filigree pieces as well as colorful enameled jewelry in both traditional Norwegian and Modernist designs. 0.2 ounces (7 grams). You can request an invoice.
