Very good condition overall with the only flaw being that the clasp was bent together and has been fixed, however it seems to stick sometimes if not pushed closed, otherwise no flaws. Box is not original just what it came to me in. Chain and locket both marked sterling.
In the early 1970's, The Walter E. Hayward Company (founded in 1851, Attleboro, MA) merged with The A & Z Chain Company and became The A&Z Hayward Company. It is known for making fine sterling silver and vermeil (gold over silver) jewelry pieces.
