Uyeda Sterling Silver 950 Cigarette case, late Meiji, decorated with 24 K Gold engraved Bamboo design. It is in a very good condition (see the pictures) , May be needs a little cleaning to shine. Marked inside " Sterling 950 KUyeda". This Cigarette case is of high quality, beautifully designed and signed by the Artist on the back.
950 Sterling silver contains higher silver content than 925. Uyeda jeweler is one of the oldest and most prestigious jeweler in Japan, the business was founded in 1884. It measures: 6"H x 3 1/4". It is pretty thin and probably could be used for the business cards also. The weight is 7.5 oz or 225 gram.
