Art Deco Masonic Ring Marked Sterling Beautiful Enameling & Symbolism Read
BEAUTIFUL ART DECO MASONIC RING. SIZE 9 AND WEIGHS 5.57 GRAMS. However after further inspection and a test at a local pawn shop, they believe it to be. Firstly because it tested strongly as Solid silver, may previously have been resized (not something a jeweler would generally do unless it was a precious metal) and finally Silver Plate is usually stamped'Silver plate' or'EPNS'. According to the 75 year old pawn shop owner in Paducah KY, he's never actually seen a piece of jewellery marked'Sterling silver plated'. And why go to all of the trouble to put beautiful enamel on a cheap ring anyways, unless it was a silver colored salesman's copy, those of which were used as examples by door to door salesman back in the old days? But those were very heavy and made of brass. Maybe just the Blue Enameled plaque, with the Square & Compass at the front is made from Sterling Silver? Anyhow, speculation aside, It's a stunning ring! Whatever this ring is composed of, it's a beautiful Art Deco Silver colored Masonic ring, with the mark'Sterling' for Sterling silver. It wears beautiful on the finger and is a wonderful addition to any Masonic collection! I'm going sell this ring as a Silver colored metal ring from the Art Deco period, mainly because I have not conclusive proof that the whole ring is composed solely of. Regardless, it's a beautiful ring! Masonic Mason Freemason Craft blue lodge fraternity collectible.
