Antique Sterling Silver Figural Horse Head Cane Walking Stick Handle Marked 925

Antique Victorian cane or walking stick with ebonized wood shaft and a marked sterling silver "925" figural handle, in the shape of a horse's head. The sterling horse head curved handle is marked "925" within an oval, as well as marked with an "R" inside a square. The figural horse head decoration measures approximately 4 long on the tip of the curved handle.

The sterling silver handle has a small separation in one of the two original silver solder seams on the underside of the horse's mane (there are two original seams that were silver soldered closed on the underside) which can be viewed in photo #8, but also in photo #6 & #7. This does not detract from the beauty of the cane, nor from its normal use as a walking stick, as it is only separated slightly on the underside of the handle.
The sterling silver handle has been polished prior to listing, as shown, but would benefit from some additional polishing. The ebonized black wooden shaft does not have a ferrule at the end, but rather has a black rubber tip placed over the tip of the cane, which was wrapped with a rubberband, as shown. This is the only issue with the cane, no other problems... Please review all of the photographs for additional condition reporting.
