English Sterling Silver Berry Serving Spoon with Figural Berries Marked J. L (Jasper Lloyd) Made 1826. Presented is an elegant sterling silver berry spoon with figural berries and leaves with a great engraved crown decoration on the end of the handle. It is hallmarked for English sterling silver made in London in 1826 by Jasper Lloyd. I have posted a picture of my research in the photos above. It is in beautiful condition with no dents or dings, a loss of gold wash, a great period script dedication of Sheppard on the back of the handle, a scratched stock mark and some fine scratches from gentle use and care. It is an excellent piece for the silver collector as well as a great addition to almost any service. I have an interesting assortment of items listed so please look at my other auctions. Measure : 8 ½" inches long, 1 7/8" inches wide across bowl. Weight: 1.5 ounces on my postal scale or 43 grams. Marks : hallmarked for English sterling silver made in London in 1826 by Jasper Lloyd.
