Vintage Large 1960's Taxco Antonio Pineda 970 Silver Women's Bracelet Mexico
This bracelet is circa 1960. The bracelet is 970 silver. 970 silver (97% silver) is considered better than sterling silver (sterling is 92.5% silver). The bracelet is marked with multiple marks: 970, TAXCO, Antonio, TAXCO VJ MEXICO, and has a logo.
Condition is really excellent and consistent with age and use. There are probably small scratches but none readily visible, no dents. UCLA's Fowler Museum hosted an exhibition of Pineda's work. You can read about him in "Silver Seduction: The Art of Mexican Modernist Antonio Pineda" by Gobi Stromberg. Pineda's work is timeless.
