My pictures do not do this fantastic bracelet justice. The entire piece looks to be handcrafted by an expert artisan. I must say, when I hold the bracelet in sunlight, it looks like a very dark purple to me, almost glowing... Yet out of sunlight looks like glorious rich shiny black gemstone.
There are 6 of these luscious faces, each bezel set in its own fancy link. This has such a native quality look. The sterling silver glows a rich aged silver. The clasp is marked, SILVER MEXICO. My understanding is this is a mark used especially between the 1940s and 1960s.
Overall length is a little more than 7-1/2. The width is almost an inch, 7/8. Ant at it's thickest points, this luscious native beauty is almost 1/2 thick. Weighs 40 grams (very roughly 1.6oz) Notable imperfections that may or may not be original: Clasp looks maybe one part pushed down (probably original); one point of rope around one bezel looks a little off (also likely original); and there are some shallow dimples on the back of one link (hammered look, also may be original).
Fine craftsmanship went into this vintage treasure. This will absolutely be sent carefully packed for safe arrival. It's not always easy but can be done.
