Here is a Top Quality Two Piece Wine or Port Funnel Made in London in 1815 in Fully Hallmarked Sterling Silver. A Handsome Armorial Crest of Wings and Stars is Engraved on the Outside of the Funnel and also on the Side of the Strainer Both Armorials are Still Crisp and Clear. This is an Excellent Wine Funnel and features a Strainer with a Lovely Circular Pierced Pattern with an Ovulo Design Edge and a Sturdy Thumb Tab the Funnel features a Strong, Gadroon/Reed Decoration. This Handsome Wine Funnel measures 3¼ Inches in Diameter (8.5 cms), Stands 6¼ Inches Tall (16.5 cms) and Weighs a Substantial 6.6 Ounces (186 grams).

The Hallmarks include the Lion Passant Guarantee Mark for English Sterling Silver, the Leopards Head Crowned the Town Mark for London, the Date Letter U for 1815 and the Duty Mark the Head of King George the Third With Correct Partial Hallmarks on the Strainer. The Makers Mark appears on both pieces, but is rubbed and not easily photographed. I can identify the first letter as a "C" so perhaps Crispin Fuller, but that is only an educated guess. This Two Piece Funnel is in Excellent Condition, Displays Well and it is Ready to Use.
