This is an Anchor stamped (North & Judd) curb bit that has had sterling silver and a gold (gold plate)? Flower added--I have not tested the gold, but it is definitely not brass. The bit is 5-1/4 in. The anchor mark appears above the flower--see photos. Nice using or collectible bit. This beautiful and uniquely designed Vogt bit is in excellent pre-owned vintage condition. The mouthpiece has a copper roller and copper inlaid on the tongue side. The mouthpiece is sweet iron and there is a bit of rust inside the port area and on both sides where it attaches to the cheek pieces. Weighs 1 lb , 2 1 / 4 ounces. It's been stored in my tack trunk for at least 35 years, so I think it's time to rehome it. Photos are part of the description.    Vintage Norm Vogt Star Marked Sterling Silver Western Low Curb Roller Bridle Bit. This is a beautiful stainless steel "S" shank bit in excellent vintage pre-owned condition with beautifully engraved Sterling Silver overlay shanks made by Norm and Chet Vogt. This is determined by the Star Vogt mark which was used by Vogt Silversmiths from 1971 to 1989 when Chet and Norm Vogt were running the business.
