Native American Zuni Turquoise Petit Point Flower 925 Silver Brooch Traders Mark

This large vintage Native American Zuni flower brooch is created in shadow box style with 18 Petit Point round Turquoise stones. The floral pin is set in all sterling silver. Like much early NA jewelry, it is not marked for sterling, but tests as such. The vintage brooch is a good size, and measures approx. 2 3/4" H x 1 1/2" W. The pin stem extends slightly beyond the simple locking c catch, often a sign of an earlier 20th Century piece. It is in very nice condition overall. The NA brooch is marked with the Trader's Mark. Book Ref: this trader's mark is of a similar sequence to one listed in Hougart's book:'Native American Southwestern Silver Hallmarks. His example is found on a Frank Patania Thunderbird Shop piece and is noted as an'unsolved code' mark. All items are pre-cleaned, sanitized where possible, and stored in a safe environment.
