Conklin Mark Twain Ltd Ed (4/50) Crescent Glory Sterling Silver Overlay Fp, Mib

This is the Mark Twain Crescent Glory, a limited edition crescent filling fountain pen produced in Italy, honoring the famed American writer who in the early 19th century used Conklin pens in his work and also promoted the sales of the pens. The pen is made from a celluloid material in a beautiful lustrous purple color which is in turn covered with a hand crafted STERLING SILVER overlay.

The design of the carved overlay is a series of crescents set in spiraling rows representing the famous Conklin crescent filller system. The overlay is in three sections.. The cap and and 2 sections on the barrel separated by the filler and locking ring. The broad clip and the section ares also sterling silver and individually marked.

Access to the very large sac is simply by screwing off the section. The nib is a large two toned CONKLIN, 14K 585, B for Broad nib. The pen comes in a large blue box with outer protective box all in great shape.
