19th Century (1886) Gorham Sterling Tea Caddy, 5.8 oz / 165g. Reticulated Repousse Ball Form, w Interior and Exterior Lids, No Monograms. This charming tea caddy is spherical in shape and built like a ginger jar or spice container, in that it has an unusual inner lid that sits upon a rim inside the opening of the neck, rather than fitting inside the body and dropping with the amount of tea inside, as some did, to keep tea/spices their freshest.
