Set of 2 Gorham Sterling Silver Chantilly Pattern Candle Sticks Gorham A602 Date Marked 1901. Presented is an impressive set of 2 Gorham Chantilly pattern Candle Sticks marked for Gorham sterling silver with a style number of A602 and an hourglass and a date letter mark on one for silver made in 1901. They have a terrific engraved and chased scrolling leaf design and have cameo ovals on either side in the middle of the post with no monogram and draped floral and leaf wreathed with ribbons motif around the base with removable bobeche on the top of the candle sticks. The bobeche are marked for sterling silver on the post for sterling silver.

This pair of candle sticks are lovely ornate pieces with some minor dents and dings as well as a slight lean and some scratches from use and care in the high finish. While made from a heavy gauge of silver; these items are weighted, so a large amount of the weight is from the filler. This pattern can be collected as a full flatware set and makes for an impressive table setting when completed. It is a beautiful pattern and a great set for the silver collector.

I have an interesting assortment of items listed so please look at my other auctions. Measure : 10 1/8 inches tall, 6 3/8 across base, 2 3/8 inches across bobeche top. Weight : 84.6 ounces on my postal scale or 2399 grams. Marks: marked for Gorham sterling silver with a style number of A602 on both and an hourglass date letter mark on only one for silver made in 1901. Condition: some dents and dings, very slight wobble, a slight lean to one or both, no monogram, some scratches from gentle use and care.
