This is an original Gorham (Lion Anchor G) sterling box (B351) in their 1897 Strasbourg pattern. It has a sickle date mark for 1899. There is a monogram top center with a "K". It is 5 1/4 long and weighs 109.5 grams. In 1966 Gorham reissued dresser set pieces with similar Buttercup designs, most marked with the number 23.
