   This sale is for one four piece sterling silver place setting by Gorham in the beautiful Buttercup pattern. Includes knife, fork, teaspoon, and salad fork. All of the pieces are in excellent pre-owned estate condition with sharp details and minor surface scratching and bears the Gorham old hallmarks of an anchor flanked by both a lion and a letter "G". Also marked "sterling", "PAT 1900" and each piece is monogramed. Knife = 8 1/2 long. Salad Fork = 6 1/4 long. Teaspoon = 5 5/8 long.    A set of 6 Gorham sterling forks in the Hindostanee pattern. Total weight is about 259 grams and they measure approximately 7 1/8 long. I believe this is an early Gorham mark dating to circa 1900. There's some tarnish, scratches, scuffing and a few nicks on the silver. Someone must have used something slightly abrasive to clean at some time in the past and several forks have light scratching as pictured in the magnified photos(pics 8,9,11).
